96th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Periodontology held in collaboration with the Japanese Society of Periodontology

The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) is a national dental organization representing more than 8,000 periodontists and other dentists.  Periodontists are dental professionals specializing in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the gums.  The Annual Meeting is a strong tradition of the AAP, providing extensive educational programming, world-renowned speakers and an expansive exhibition.

The AAP will hold the 2010 Annual Meeting in collaboration with the Japanese Society of Periodontology (JSP) at the Hawai`i Convention Center in Honolulu, Hawai`i.  Highlights include outstanding educational lectures, a new Aloha Reception at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Pan Asian Symposium, Corporate Forum, complimentary coffee breaks and lunches in the exhibit hall as well as ample social and networking opportunities with colleagues.

Topics to be covered at the 2010 Annual Meeting include:

  • Interdisciplinary Therapy
  • Treatment of Inflammatory Periodontal Diseases
  • Periodontal-Systemic Relationships
  • Periodontal Plastic/Oral Reconstructive Surgery
  • Practice Development and Management
  • Regeneration/Tissue Engineering
  • Implants

After the meeting, attendees can join us at the Post-Meeting CE Symposium, Optimal Success in Regeneration and Periodontal Plastic Surgery:  Evolutionary Trends in Care, for 2-half day courses which will be held at the Fairmont Orchid hotel on the Big Island of Hawai`i from November 4-5.  Courses will begin in the morning and conclude at 12:30 pm, allowing attendees time to enjoy the richness of Hawai`i.  Space is limited; please register early to secure your spot.
